
Sacramento is the capital city of the state of California and is well recognized by the American River that runs through the city. It has been in existence since 1849 and the area experienced a major growth during the time that gold was found here in 1848. The gold rush that followed after the first gold was found is said to be one of the biggest migrations of humans in the history of mankind.

The Sacramento International Airport is situated about 15 minutes drive from downtown Sacramento and is serviced by most of the domestic airlines and also offers direct flights to Hawaii.
